POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT
GRADE 7: Salary: £26,666 – £32,796 p.a.
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral research assistant who would like to work on a project investigating the pathogenesis of endometriosis, with specific emphasis on the role of angiogenesis. The post is available for 30 months, funded as part of a MRC New Investigator’s Award to Dr. Christian Becker, and is available immediately.
The research assistant will take a leading role in an exciting new programme of work investigating murine models of endometriosis and associated ovarian cancers. The project will require skills in molecular biology and immunology. Previous research experience, and/or first-hand experience with murine models, microsurgical techniques and a Home Office personal licence would be an advantage, although appropriate training will be given if necessary. The successful candidate will need to be well-organised and able to work independently.
