University of Queensland Australia-Applications now open for student scholarships

 

Students at The University of Queensland Ipswich Campus have access to over $40,000 in funds to assist with their studies as part of the Campus’ scholarship scheme.Pro-Vice-Chancellor Academic Professor Alan Rix encouraged students to apply for the many scholarships available to students who study at the Ipswich Campus.

The Campus is currently accepting applications to the scholarships, which close on Friday, 4 April.

Scholarships are available to most students at the campus; some are program-specific and others are more general and open to students across disciplines.

The 2008 scholarships at Ipswich include:

  • Alumni and Friends of UQ Ipswich Scholarship
  • Ipswich City Council City of Ipswich Scholarship
  • Heather Bonner Memorial Scholarship
  • Reverend Roy Edwards Memorial Bursary in the Bachelor of Business Communication or Bachelor of Business
  • Ipswich RSLA Scholarship in the Bachelor of Nursing
  • Ipswich City Council Ipswich Sesqui-Centenary 2010 Local History Research Scholarship in Arts
  • Bendigo Bank Undergraduate Scholarship in the Bachelor of Business
  • Rotary Club of Ipswich City Bursary in the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences
  • Children First Learning Centre Scholarship in the Bachelor of Education (Middle Years of Schooling)
  • First Year Scholarships for students in the Bachelor of Business
  • First Year Scholarships for students in the Faculty of Arts or Social and Behavourial Sciences

The 2008 scholarships and prizes will be awarded at the annual Scholarships and Prizes Award Ceremony, to be held at the Ipswich Campus on May 21 at 7pm.
