University of Strathclyde Business School is offering two Ph.D. studentships at the Department of Management Science. These studentships are open to candidates from any nationality (UK/EU/international). Funding is available to cover 3 years of tuition fees plus a tax-free stipend (currently £14,296 per year).

The Strathclyde Business School (SBS) is one of four faculties forming the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. Located on Cathedral Street within the John Anderson campus of the University, it offers courses for business education and management development for inexperienced graduates through to senior executives.

The University accepts a number of English language tests as proof of proficiency in English. IELTS is the most widely available, and our current standard requirements are: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no individual band less than 5.5).

Course Level: Studentships are available for pursuing Ph.D. program at the Department of Management Science.

Study Subject: Studentships are awarded in the field of management science, business, mathematics, and statistics.

Scholarship Award: Funding is available to cover 3 years of tuition fees plus a tax-free stipend (currently £14,296 per year).

Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Eligibility: These Ph.D. projects require a highly numerate graduate with skills and interests in computational science. Candidates should preferably have a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as industrial engineering, operations research, mathematics or computer science (amongst others). Applications are admitted until 15th September 2016, or until a suitable candidate is found thereafter.

Nationality: The studentship is open to candidates from any nationality (UK/EU/international).

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Candidates should preferably have a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as industrial engineering, operations research, mathematics or computer science (amongst others).

PhD Scholarships

  • An excellent undergraduate degree with Honors in a relevant business, scientific/technological or social science subject
  • A Masters degree (or equivalent) will be strongly preferred.
  • Students may also have other relevant experience or skills which are relevant to this project.
  • All applications must be accompanied by a cover letter indicating the candidate’s relevant skills/experience and how they can contribute to this research, as well as a CV and relevant qualification transcripts.
  • Two references will be required
