Applications are invited for MPhil scholarships to study Neuroscience at University of Queensland in Australia. Eligibility: The university invites outstanding Australian and international students from all academic backgrounds to apply – if you meet any of the following criteria you should consider applying:
-A background in the biological, physical, or computer sciences, mathematics, psychology, or engineering.
-A bachelor degree (Honours not essential) or other relevant higher degree.
-Some laboratory research experience or equivalent (eg. relevant industry experience).

Scholarship Description: Neuroscience is one of today’s most dynamic, challenging and competitive fields of biomedical research. The University of Queensland is offering a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in neuroscience through the Queensland Brain Institute. The aim of the program is to offer talented students from diverse backgrounds an alternative route into a research career in the neurosciences through provision of a solid base in a broad range of neuroscience disciplines. Students will work on independent research projects under the supervision of world-leading QBI Neuroscientists, as well as undertake neuroscience-related workshops and journal clubs.

Duration of award(s): Completion of the MPhil will take up to 2 years (full-time only). Within the first year students will participate in two laboratory rotations before selecting the laboratory for completion of their MPhil degree. Students will also attend seminars, technique workshops, and journal clubs. An option to undertake a placement in an international laboratory is available upon completion of the degree.
