A PhD scholarship opportunity is available within the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science for a student to study Optimisation and Multi-Agent Systems in the Hunter Valley coal industry, under the supervision of Dr Alexandre Mendes.

The University of Newcastle, informally known as Newcastle University, is an Australian public university established in 1965. It has a primary campus in Callaghan, a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales.

All international applicants for whom English is not the native tongue must provide proof of competence in the English language.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD programme.

Study Subject: Scholarship to study Optimisation and Multi-Agent Systems in the Hunter Valley coal industry, under the supervision of Dr Alexandre Mendes.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship is for a period of three and a half years. The scholarship value is $26,288 p.a. indexed each year.

Eligibility: The candidate must address all the criteria for PhD admission.

Nationality: This scholarship is for domestic and international students.
