2014 UOW Postgraduate Award for Women in Non-Traditional Research Areas, Australia

University of Wollongong is inviting applications for postgraduate award available for women in non-traditional research areas within the Faculty of Informatics or the Faculty of Engineering. Award has a value of $25,392 non-taxable. The stipend payable for part-time candidates will be 50% of the full-time stipend, $12,696 in 2014. Awards are available for three (3) years full-time for Doctoral candidates and two (2) years for Masters by Research. Doctoral candidates may apply for a 6 month extension for research related reasons. The application deadline is 17th October 2014.

Eligibility: Bachelors degree with at least Second Class Division 1 Honours or equivalent results. In addition, candidates must enroll in an eligible program within the Faculty of Informatics or the Faculty of Engineering.

The academic merit, research potential and track record of the candidate. The quality of the research environment, including track record (relative to opportunity) and expertise of supervisor(s) in the field of research,  resources available to support the project and the strength of research in this area at UOW.
