US Department of Education Scholarship
September 1, 2008
US Department of Education Scholarship for Council Study Centers in Beijing or Nanjing from the Council on International Educational Exchange and US Department of Education: Available to American or U.S. permanent resident students who apply for study abroad with CIEE Study Center and specifically applicants for the programs in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Taipei. In addition, applicants must be planning a teaching career in a modern foreign language, have completed 2 years of college-level Mandarin Chinese language training and demonstrate high merit and financial need. Awards vary in amount and are applied directly to the applicant’s program fee. Past scholarship awards have been in the amounts of $500 - $4000.
Application Deadline: Summer, Fall, and Academic Year Programs is April 15; Spring Programs is November 15.
