Student Veterans of America and Raytheon invite application for veterans scholarships available to students pursuing engineering degrees or a degree in a closely related field. Applicant must be a current student veteran, as proven by a DD 214 and transcript and must be attending full-time at an accredited four-year university in the United States. Up to three (3) STEM scholarships of $10,000 will be awarded.
Alabama G.I. Dependents’ Scholarship
The Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs awards Alabama G.I. Dependents’ Scholarship Program to the permanent residents of the State of Alabama. These scholarships are for military dependents are available at any Alabama state-supported institution of higher learning or a prescribed course of study at any state-supported technical school. The veteran must have honorably served at least 90 days of continuous active federal military service or honorably discharged by reason of service-connected disability after serving less than 90 days of continuous active federal military service.
Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts (VAIC) Scholarship Program
The Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to United States armed forces personnel. A veteran who served at least 60 days in the Afghanistan or Iraq conflicts can apply for the scholarship. The award amounts 50% of the annual tuition and mandatory fees and room. Last date of submitting applications is 1st March each year.
CN Diversity Scholarships for Women, Military Veterans and People of Aboriginal Heritage in Canada
Canadian National Railway Company offers CN Diversity Scholarships in Canada. Scholarship is awarded to Women, military veterans and people of Aboriginal heritage in Canada. Students must be enrolled in a technical, undergraduate or graduate degree in the area of engineering, transportation, sales & marketing, human resources, aboriginal studies & law, accounting and finance. The scholarship of value $3,000 is tenable for one year. Students must have obtained an average of 80% or above over the last three semesters of studies.
AT&T War Memorial Scholarship
The Arkansas Community Foundation is offering veterans scholarships for resident of Arkansas. Candidates must demonstrate financial need, community leadership and potential to succeed in college. Each Veteran scholarship amounts $2,500.
Veterans of Foreign Wars
The VFW “Sport Clips Help A Hero Scholarship” will provide service members and veterans with the financial assistance to complete their educational goals. Veterans scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded to qualified applicants. Candidates must be retired, honorably discharged, active duty or a member of the National Guard or Reserve.
National Scholarship Program
Three $4,000 scholarships for veterans are funded by AMVETS National Service Foundation. Awards are given on the basis of academic excellence and financial need. The veterans scholarships are awarded to deserving high school seniors, high school JROTC students and veterans pursuing a higher education. Online applications for 2017 opens from January 18 – April 30, 2017.
Las Positas College Scholarship
Veterans scholarships are for Army women who are serving, or have honorably served and their children. This veteran scholarship covers tuition fees for assistance in technical certificate programs, coursework at community colleges, four year academic institutions and graduate schools.
