University of the Sunshine Coast is inviting applications for Vice Chancellor’s Honours Scholarships available for students commencing Honours study after completion of their Bachelor degree. At least 10 Honours scholarships are awarded for a period of one year of full-time study. Scholarship has a value of $5,000 per annum. Part-time students will receive pro rata payment, equivalent to the units of study. The application deadline is 15 December, 2014.

USC Vice Chancellor’s Honours Scholarships are to encourage and support students commencing an Honours program, with a long term view to enter the research field.
Number of award(s): At least 10 Honours scholarships are offered each year
Duration of award(s): Scholarships are awarded for up to one year of full-time study.
What does it cover? A$5,000 per annum for up to one year of full-time study (comprising 96 units) is available. Part-time students will receive pro rata payment, equivalent to the units of study.
Selection Criteria: Selection will be based on:
-academic merit, based on GPA for advanced level courses undertaken
-research focus and potential alignment to a USC area of research concentration
-intention/motivation for ongoing study/research and pursuit of a Higher Degree by Research (HDR)
