VINNMER fellowships for female scientists, Sweden
February 18, 2010The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA) offers three different types of postdoctoral fellowships for women, co-financed by the Marie Curie Action Co- funding of regional, national and international programmes (COFUND), in those fields of needs-driven research which fall within VINNOVA’s field of activity.
The Postdoc-Fellowships provide funding for postdoctoral research visits for up to three years. The programme is especially designed for female scientists and it is open to scientists of all nationalities. VINNMER supports mobility to and from foreign countries to establish long-term collaboration between Swedish and foreign research areas. The purpose of the call is to strengthen qualification opportunities for women.
Marie Curie International Qualification
Outgoing Mobility Researchers with a minimum of one to two years of work experience within industry, research institutes etc. after their PhD are eligible. The fellowship provides funding comprising up to half of the researcher’s salary and additional costs for the researcher and family members (travel, higher accommodation costs, etc.), for one and a half to two years in prominent foreign environments, and for one additional year as returning phase to a Swedish R&I environment. The programme is open to researchers of all nationalities residing in Sweden.
Marie Curie International Qualification
Recruitment from a foreign environment Researchers with a minimum of one to two years of work experience within industry, research institutes etc. after their PhD are eligible. The fellowship provides funding comprising up to half of the researcher’s salary and additional costs for the researcher and family members (travel, higher accommodation costs, etc.) for one to three years in a Swedish R&I environment. The outcome should be the establishment of a long-term collaboration between the researcher’s home environment and the Swedish R&I environment.
Marie Curie Chair
Incoming Mobility Researchers with a minimum of ten years of work experience within industry, research institutes etc. after their PhD are eligible. The call is not addressed to researchers at the level of a full professor. The fellowship provides funding comprising up to half of the researcher’s salary and additional costs for the researcher and family members (travel, higher accommodation costs, etc.) for one to three years in a Swedish R&I environment. Ideally, at least 50% of the total cost of salaries for the project during year two and year three should be financed by R&I milieus, universities, research institutes or companies.
