WeTech Goldman Sachs Scholars Program for Indian Women, 2018

Women applicants from India are invited to apply for WeTech Goldman Sachs Scholars Program sponsored by the Institute of International Education (IIE) and Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) for the 2018-2020 academic year. Scholarships are available for current undergraduate students at a participating university in her second or third year of studies.

The Institute of International Education (IIE) and Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), a leading global investment bank are offering scholarship and mentoring programme for the Indian women university students in science and technology-related fields. Each scholar will each receive a merit-based $1,500 scholarship for the 2017/18 school year.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for current undergraduate students at a participating university in her second or third year of studies.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in engineering, computer science and other technology-related fields

Scholarship Award: Scholars will each receive a merit-based $1,500 scholarship for the 2017/18 school year and be connected with an experienced mentor from Goldman Sachs for a six-month mentorship from June through December 2017.

Number of Scholarships: More than 25 scholarships are available.

Scholarship can be taken in India

Eligibility: The scholarship eligibility requirements are as follows

  • Applicant must be female
  • Applicant must be a citizen of India
  • Applicant must be a current undergraduate student at a participating university in her second or third year of studies
  • Applicant must be seeking a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other ICT-related studies
  • Applicant must be able to demonstrate leadership potential in their chosen ICT field (reference letters will be required)
  • Applicant must be willing and available to participate in a virtual mentorship for a six-month period in late 2017

Nationality: Female citizen from India are eligible to apply.
