Eligibility:
Who can ask for a Category A grant?  A student who comes from a country OTHER THAN a European Union Country (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom) or from Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and who is not a permanent resident nor has carried out his/her main activity (studies, training and work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in at least one of the mentioned countries in this paragraph.
Who can ask for a Category B grant? A student who comes from a European Union Country (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom) or from Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein or who, not coming from the mentioned countries, is a permanent resident or has carried out his/her main activity (studies, training and work) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in at least one of the mentioned countries in this paragraph.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Student from European Union Country (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom) or from Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein and other than a European Union Country can apply for the scholarship.

Scholarship Description: Students should be aware of the fact that they can apply for an Erasmus Mundus grant/scholarship to any Erasmus Mundus Action 1 joint programme (EMMC) of their choice but the number of applications must be limited to maximum three different joint programmes (EMMC and EMJD together).
Category A Scholarships: Category A grants for students have to be considered as “full scholarships” covering all necessary costs of the student during his/her study period in Europe. For the academic year 2013-2014, the amount granted of EM Category A grants for students covers the registration fees and other participation costs (€ 4000 per semester). The grant also offers a fee as contribution to travel, installation, visa related costs and any other type of costs (€ 8000) and a monthly payment of 1,000 Euro per each academic year (12 months). As WOP Master is a two year programme, the student will receive monthly payments during 24 months.
Category B scholarships for students have to be considered as a “financial contribution” to the student’s costs while following his/her EMMC studies.  For the academic year 2013-2014 , the amount granted of EM Category B grants for students covers the registration fees and other participation costs (€ 1,300 per semester). The grant also offers a fee as contribution to travel, installation, visa related costs and any other type of costs (€ 3000) only if the EMMC includes a mobility period to a third country full/associated partner, and a monthly payment of 500 euros per each academic year (12 months). As WOP Master is a two year programme, the student will receive the monthly payment during 24 months.

Selection Criteria: The procedure of students’ selection is oriented to quality and fulfilment of ECTS. As WOP master programme requires a great effort, students should be willing to dedicate an important number of hours to different types of tasks (e.g. reading articles, preparing reports, front-teaching). So, students’ selection involves a rigorous evaluation of knowledge skills and motivational aspects. The process of selection includes the presentation of the CV and an interview with the candidate. During the process the candidate is invited to present documents (e.g., references) which can provide further evidence of their preparation and qualification.

Notification: Selection results will be provided to these applicants from 15th April 2013.
