Yale College Year-long Fellowships: Deadline January 26, 2009

Yale Year-long Fellowships: “Yale College Year-long Fellowships” are seven unique fellowships administered by the Office of Fellowship Programs. Students may apply to one or several of these individual competitions depending on the proposed activity and the intent of the fellowship. Applicants use a standardized application form which provides more time to focus on the proposal and less time spent on paperwork. Activities Funded by These Fellowships

Each Yale College Year-Long Fellowship supports unique activities which may include research, study, and/or independent projects.

  • Year-long Fellowships are most often awarded to seniors to support a 9-12 month experience after graduation.
  • Freshmen, sophomores and juniors may also be eligible to apply if they are considering taking a leave of absence from Yale.
  • Funding opportunities exist for both domestic and international activities.

Eligibility and Restrictions

It is important to read the description of each individual fellowship carefully, as eligibility and restrictions will vary.

Students may apply to multiple “Yale College Year-long Fellowships” with different project proposals for each. In some cases, the same project may be appropriate for more than one of these fellowships. However, it is prohibited to apply twice to the same fellowship with different proposals. Please speak with an OFP adviser if you have questions.

How To Apply

The deadline for all “Yale College Year-long Fellowships” is Monday, January 26, 2009 at 3:00 PM. No late applications will be accepted.
