Scholarship Description: The DISCOVERY center at the Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen University, funded by the Danish National Science Foundation, invites applications for a post doc positions in Experimental Particle Physics in the context of the ATLAS experiment, with starting date at the latest January 1 2013. The research activities in the NBI ATLAS group cover broad areas of the LHC physics opportunities,such as diboson couplings, Higgs physics, BSM searches and soft QCD processes. The group has furthermore responsibilities in the TRT and trigger systems and is engaged in various upgrade activities. It is currently composed of about 15 members in lively interaction with the related disciplines of particle physics phenomenology, heavy ion physics and cosmology. The post-doc will be expected to take a leading role in the local Trigger/DAQ developments for the Phase 1 upgrade of ATLAS.
