ACU Gender Grants in UK

The Association of Commonwealth Universities is offering Gender Grants to fund staff-led projects that promote gender equity. Open to all ACU member universities – with special opportunities for Africa and Asia.

To be eligible for the ACU Gender Grants, applicants must be staff members at an ACU member university. The grants are open to institutions across the Commonwealth, with up to three of the five grants specifically reserved for staff in Africa and Asia focusing on anti-sexual harassment initiatives.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All countries with ACU member universities, with some grants specifically open to staff members in Africa and Asia

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The grants are awarded for projects related to any of the following themes:

    • Supporting women in leadership

    • Anti-sexual harassment awareness and initiatives

    • Supporting women in science and research

    • Institutional gender equity policies

    • Gender equity in curriculum development

  • Admissible Criteria:

    • Applicants must be staff members at an ACU member university

    • Projects must align with the grant themes and promote gender equity and equality

    • For the special anti-sexual harassment grants (3 out of 5 total), applicants must be based in Africa or Asia
