Aalborg University’s Department of Sociology and Social Work is offering the International  PhD Fellowship in Sociology, starting on October 1st, 2024.

To be eligible for the PhD fellowship in Sociology at Aalborg University, applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree. Those currently enrolled in a Danish Master’s program must provide a statement from their thesis supervisor, verified transcripts, a copy of the thesis contract, and documentation of their final exam date. Proficiency in Danish and English is required. Additionally, successful candidates must enroll as PhD students at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Hold a degree equivalent to a Danish Master’s degree
  • Applicants enrolled in a Danish Master’s program who expect to graduate before the date of appointment must forward a statement from the thesis supervisor, verified transcripts, a copy of the thesis contract, and documentation for the date of their final exam
  • Proficiency in Danish and English is required
  • Enrolment as a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Social Sciences is required.
