The University of Auckland is delighted to offer AUEA Braithwaite-Thompson Graduate Research Awards in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Auckland. The Awards are only tenable by international students, i.e. students who are neither citizens nor permanent residents of New Zealand.

The main purpose of the Awards is to support innovative graduate research in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Auckland. The Awards are intended to assist International graduate students and to foster international relationships.

The University of Auckland is the largest university in New Zealand, located in the country’s largest city, Auckland. It is the highest-ranked university in the country, being ranked 81st worldwide in the 2016/17 QS World University Rankings.

Scholarship Description: 

  • Application Deadline: April 4, 2019
  • Course Level: Awards are available to pursue a graduate program.
  • Study Subject: Awards are available for an  International student undertaking an ME, MOR or Ph.D. in Engineering
  • Scholarship Award: The main Award will be awarded annually for a period of one year, and will be the value of up to $10,000.
  • Nationality: International students are eligible to apply
  • Number of Scholarships: Up to 2 awards are available.
  • Scholarship can be taken in New Zealand

Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

  • The Awards are intended to assist International graduate students and to foster international relationships.
  • Applicable study: International student undertaking an ME, MOR or Ph.D. in Engineering

English Language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
