Flinders University is pleased to announce the Australian Research Council Future Fellowship PhD Scholarship 2 Supramolecular adsorbents that trap perfluorinated pollutants. The scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for a talented PhD candidate to develop advanced supramolecular adsorbents for the removal of toxic PFAS pollutants from water.

To be eligible for the PhD Scholarship at Flinders University, applicants must meet the PhD admission requirements, including holding an Honours degree (Class 1 or 2A) or an equivalent qualification with a significant research component or relevant research experience.

Eligibility

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Meet PhD admission requirements, including an Honours degree Class 1 or 2A (or equivalent AQF Level 8 qualification) with a research component or equivalent research experience (e.g., first-author publication or grant track record).

    • Be available to commence full-time, on-campus PhD studies at Flinders University in Semester 1, 2025.

    • Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills aligned with supramolecular chemistry, materials chemistry, or similar fields.

    • Have a background in chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline; experience in organic synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, MOFs, or supramolecular chemistry will be advantageous.
