Bath Spa University International Travel Fund in UK

Bath Spa University is offering the International Travel Fund to support students planning study trips or work placements abroad in 2025/26. Eligible students can receive up to £650 to enhance their studies and future career prospects.

To be eligible for the Fund, applicants must be current, registered students at BSU studying at Newton Park, Sion Hill, Locksbrook, Corsham Court, or BSU London (Hackney). Students on exchange programs, distance learning, or at partner institutions are not eligible.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

  • Be a current, registered student at Bath Spa University at the time of application and during the trip

  • Study at Newton Park, Sion Hill, Locksbrook, Corsham Court, or BSU London (Hackney)

  • Not be studying at partner institutions, on exchange programmes, or via distance learning

  • Not receive any other university travel awards

  • Use the funds for a study trip or work placement abroad that directly supports their studies and future career

  • Proposed travel should not begin within six weeks of application and must finish by 31 August 2026 (or before graduation for final-year students)

  • Retrospective applications will not be considered.

How to Apply

  • Please apply by using the online application form in AppHub (student login required). Select the ‘Scholarship Applications’ menu, then choose ‘BSU funds for International Travel’ from the Add Application drop down menu.
  • Prepare a named referee from BSU staff (tutor, course leader, or appropriate staff member)
  • Submit a supporting statement (~500 words) outlining activities planned and benefits for studies/career
  • Attach supporting documentation to evidence proposed costs
  • Ensure all sections of the form are completed and Fund Terms and Conditions are read.
