Amazon, an American Electronic Commerce company, in collaboration with edX, will provide $1,000 credit to people on its Amazon Web Services.
This incentive is for those who complete one of the two courses, provided by Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The courses are on Entrepreneurship and aims to support people with solid business ideas. A candidate has to complete the course Entrepreneurship 101 or 102. The students are taught through case studies. Entrepreneurship 101 deals with the idea of identifying the customers for a new business and Entrepreneurship 102 prepares the groundwork for reaching out to a customer with a new product. The classes shall run for 12 weeks and a student is expected to devote at least four hours every week.
After completing the course, the student shall receive a passing grade, which is essential to be eligible for the AWS credit. This offer is limited to one per person and is valid for two years. In order to be entitled to the credit, a candidate must sign up for a “verified” certificate of completion, for which he/she need to pay USD 50 as a fee towards registration. This benefit is available to people who have not previously taken the course.
The Amazon Web Service credit consists of free access to essentials such as one day web-based or instructor-led training, and eight tokens for self-paced labs. The prospective student becomes eligible for one month of premium AWS Business Support. One also gets free access to 1:1 virtual office hours with AWS solutions architects. There will be a helping hand from other companies who support the startups. Those companies are Chef, Bitnami, Amazon Payments, SOASTA, Podio, CooperEgg etc.
