HEC Paris, the premiere business school in Europe, has joined the Massive Open Online Courses – MOOCs revolution.
As per the initiative, there would be four new business themed courses that would be offered this academic year. These MOOCs will be offered via Coursera Platform.
The courses in the offing include Organizational Management, Social Entrepreneurship, Corporate Finance, and Entrepreneurship.
The first course which is set to launch on January 13, 2015, shall provide an integrated approach towards learning organizational capacity and behavioral dynamics.
It’s a six week long course which will deal with organizational management, competition and competitive advantage and understanding change. This course is unique on its own and will be instructed by Rodolphe Durand, Strategy Professor,

The second course is all about Social Entrepreneurship and is likely to be launched on February 24, 2015.
This course shall be offered in partnership with ‘Ticket for Change’, an organization which supports young people interested in bringing a change in the society through entrepreneurship movement. The course shall be offered in French language and will be instructed by nine renowned academicians. Candidates desirous of this course can register here.
The next course, Créer et développer une startup technologique, is dedicated towards startup business, mostly technology based. The scope of the course includes identification of entrepreneurial opportunities, development of technology that serves the commercial interest, strategic output, and the domain of HR and Finance in the startup business.
The course shall also be taught in French language and is slated to be launched on April 1, 2015. The instructors are Mr. Romain Beaume, Director, École Polytechnique and Mr. Etienne Krieger, Professor, HEC Paris. Students can register here for this course.
The last one that would be offered through MOOCs is the Executive Education Certificate Program on Corporate Finance. It will be co-managed by First Finance Institute. The duration of the course would be 60 to 80 hours and shall be delivered both in French and Mandarin.
