Eligibility for CBS PhD scholarships in Economics requires a master’s degree (5+3 scheme) with a thesis grade of 10 (Danish 7-point scale or equivalent), weighted GPA 8.2 (bachelor’s + master’s) or 9.5 (master’s alone), or top 40% class ranking if unmet; high academic English proficiency; and degree completion before September 2026 start.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Master’s degree (3+2 Bologna equivalent) with grade 10 (or equivalent) on master’s thesis (Danish 7-point scale); weighted GPA ?8.2 (bachelor’s + master’s) or ?9.5 (master’s alone); top 40% of class if GPA unmet (5+3 scheme).

  • Or bachelor’s + 60 ECTS master’s credits (GPA ?8.2 overall, grade 10 on bachelor’s thesis; top 40% if unmet) (4+4 scheme).

  • Complete degree before starting; high-level academic English proficiency.

  • Submit a 5-page project description (research question, theory/method, data, 3-year plan), CV, diplomas/transcripts, cover letter, publications (if any), and writing sample.
