The Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds is a Dutch foundation founded in 1940 by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands during World War II in London. Initially, it was created to raise funds to buy war material for the British and Dutch governments. After the war, it transitioned into a cultural foundation aimed at rebuilding and supporting cultural life in the Netherlands. Over time, its scope expanded to also support nature preservation, science, and humanities.
