Deakin University is pleased to announce the Postdoctoral Research Fellowships. This prestigious program supports early-career researchers in building independent research careers and contributing to Deakin’s world-class research strengths.

To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must have been awarded a PhD on or after 1 January 2022, or demonstrate an equivalent timeline accounting for allowable career interruptions. Candidates must also secure a supervisor from Deakin University who agrees to support their research project and complete a Supervisor Support Statement.

Eligibility

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The fellowship will be awarded in any research area aligned with Deakin University’s five research strengths

  • Admissible Criteria:

    • Applicants must have been awarded a PhD on or after 1 January 2022, or demonstrate equivalent eligibility with career interruptions

    • Must obtain a support statement from a proposed supervisor at Deakin University

    • Must submit a full research proposal in collaboration with the host department

    • Must complete all required supporting documentation including CV, publications, supervisor support, research proposal, and evidence of PhD

    • Curriculum vitae (CV) and publication list (max. 8 pages)

    • Evidence of PhD conferral

    • Career interruption evidence (if applicable)
