 Eligibility

• Eligible Countries: Applicants must be based at ACU member universities in Commonwealth countries.

• Acceptable Course or Subjects: The grant supports participation in conferences relevant to any academic subject.

• Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an early career academic/researcher at an ACU member university.

  • Be within 7 years of starting their academic (research/teaching) career, excluding career breaks.

  • Identify a conference that they would like to attend in a Commonwealth country taking place between February 2026 to January 2027.

  • Be presenting a paper, poster, or chairing a session at the conference.

  • Not have previously travelled for work purposes (including conferences) outside their region of employment since starting their academic career.

  • Not have previously received an ACU Early Career Conference Grant.
