ECS Excellence Scholarships for UK/EU Students in UK, 2018

The University of Southampton is offering Electronics and Computer Science Excellence Scholarships to highest achieving applicants. The scholarships will be awarded in Semester 1 of the first year of the applicant’s programme.

The University of Southampton is a public research university located in Southampton, England. Southampton is a founding member of the Russell Group of research-intensive universities in Britain.

Applicants whose native language is not English are required to demonstrate proficiency in English.  The TOEFL is the most frequently submitted examination score that the University receives, however, the Admissions Office will use other measures upon the applicant’s request. The IELTS, ACT, and SAT examinations may also be used.

Scholarship Description:

Application deadline: End of July 2018
Course Level: Scholarships are available in Semester 1 of the first year of the applicant’s programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the field of Electronics and Computer Science.
Scholarship Award: Three scholarships to a value of £3,000 each will be awarded to highest achieving applicants.
Number of Scholarships: There are three scholarships available.

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

Eligible Countries: UK / EU students are eligible to apply.
Entrance Requirements:
Eligible applicants must be UK / EU students and have selected an ECS Programme as their firm choice and have registered for the scholarship (using the link below) by the end of July 2018. The scholarships will be awarded in Semester 1 of the first year of the applicant’s programme. The final decision will be made by a panel of Senior Admissions Tutors based on a combination of UCAS Tariff and the applicant’s response to the registration question: “In less than 300 words please tell us why you are passionate about studying in the department of Electronics and Computer Science at Southampton”.
