Sawiris Foundation for Social Development is offering Engineering for Development (E4D) doctoral scholarships to students who meet the entrance requirements for doctoral studies at ETH Zurich. It awards two doctoral fellowships per year with an amount of 175’000 CHF each. The project is conducted with (a) partner(s) in a developing country. The application deadline is 31 March 2015.

Eligibility:

Scholarship Open for International Students: Students from any country who meet the entrance requirements for doctoral studies at ETH Zurich are eligible to apply for these doctoral scholarships.

Scholarship Description: The E4D doctoral scholarship programme aims at promoting the development of products or methods, which are directly relevant for improving the livelihoods of poor people in developing countries. It awards two doctoral fellowships per year with an amount of 175’000 CHF each. The scholarships are funded by the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development.

Duration of award(s): These doctoral scholarships are offered for three years.
