EPSRC Centre Scholarship for Doctoral Training in Quantum Information Science and Technologies , UK

Looking for a PhD program in quantum technologies? The University of Sussex and the University of Bristol have partnered to launch the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Quantum Information Science and Technologies (QIST), offering  PhD Scholarships.

To be eligible for the EPSRC CDT in Quantum Information Science and Technologies PhD program, applicants must hold at least an upper-second class undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering. Scholarships are available to both UK and international applicants, with 70% of the awards reserved for UK candidates, including UK nationals and EU nationals with settled/pre-settled status.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: UK and International applicants (70% of awards for UK candidates)
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the EPSRC CDT in Quantum Information Science and Technologies
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • At least an upper-second class undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Engineering)
  • UK nationals or EU nationals with settled/pre-settled status for UK applicants
  • Non-native English speakers need IELTS score of 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in each section)
  • Applications from underrepresented groups in postgraduate research are particularly encouraged.

  • Mention “EPSRC QIST PhD” in the Finances/Funding section
  • Upload all required documents (CV, personal statement, degree certificates, transcripts, and English Language Certificate if applicable)
