Embark on a journey of recognition and honor with the ESD Okayama Award 2024! Celebrating exemplary initiatives in Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), this prestigious accolade is jointly presented by Okayama City and the ESD Okayama Award Steering Board.

The ESD Okayama Award 2024 is open to organizations worldwide that are actively implementing ESD projects. Eligible projects can be based in any country and should demonstrate significant contributions to sustainable development through education. Applicants must ensure that their projects align with the principles of ESD and showcase innovation, impact, and potential for scalability. One or two projects will be selected as awardees, each receiving a prize of US $3,000.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: International (all countries)
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to organizations implementing ESD projects in any subject area.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Organizations must be implementing ESD projects.
  • Projects can be based in Japan or abroad.

How to Apply

Interested applicants should review the Application Guide and submit the Application Form with required materials via e-mail. Ensure the organization’s name is included in the subject line of the e-mail. Data size per email must not exceed 8 MB.

Benefits

The award provides US $3,000 per project. Additionally, one representative from the awarded organization(s) will be invited to the Award Ceremony in Okayama, Japan, scheduled for November 23, 2024, to present their project.
