EU-CONEXUS is now accepting applications for its Seed Funding Program. This funding supports small collaborative projects in education, research, and innovation that focus on Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability (SmUCS).
Applicants must be researchers or academics from at least two different EU-CONEXUS partner universities. Projects must address Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability (SmUCS) challenges and include a clear educational component. Proposals already funded in previous Seed Funding rounds or involving the same partnerships or ideas are not eligible.

Eligible Countries: Open to researchers and academics from the nine EU-CONEXUS partner universities

Acceptable Course or Subjects: The seed funding will be awarded for projects in any subject directly addressing challenges under the Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability (SmUCS) theme

Admissible Criteria:
• Proposals must include at least two researchers or academics from two different EU-CONEXUS partner universities
• The subject of the project must align with SmUCS challenges
• Projects must have a clearly defined education-related component
• Projects already funded through previous Seed Funding rounds with the same partnership or idea are not eligible
• Other organizations can participate but will not receive funding
• Duration of each project must not exceed 12 months; all expenses must be eligible before 31 October 2026
