FameLab Competition in Czech Republic

Charles University encourages students, early-career researchers, and science educators to apply for FameLab Competition.

To be eligible for FameLab 2025, applicants must be over 21 years old and actively studying or working in the fields of natural sciences, technical sciences, medicine, mathematics, or humanities. They must be affiliated with a university, research institution, or secondary school in the Czech Republic.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Czech Republic (applicants must study or work in the country)

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The competition is open to individuals working or studying in the fields of:

    • Natural Sciences

    • Technical Sciences

    • Medicine

    • Mathematics

    • Humanities

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:

    • Be over 21 years of age

    • Be a student or employee of a university, research institution, or a secondary school teacher operating within the Czech Republic

    • Submit a video presentation (maximum 3 minutes) without the use of digital projectors or video aids

    • Be able to present at university and national rounds in Czech, Slovak, or English (international round is in English)

    • Attend the weekend MASTERCLASS training if selected

    • Handle and transport their own props used in the presentation

How to Apply

  • Prepare a 3-minute video presentation on a scientific topic of your choice

  • Ensure the video follows these technical guidelines:

    • Format: MP4

    • Orientation: Landscape

    • Resolution: 1920×1080 px (Full HD, 16:9 aspect ratio)

  • Send the video to: [email protected] by June 30, 2025

  • Evaluation will be based on content, clarity, and charisma
