The fellowship program is open to journalists aged 25 to 40 from Southern Africa (SADC Member States and Kenya) who regularly work for a media organisation.
The International Journalists’ Programmes (IJP) is a non-profit and politically independent organization established in 1981 that aims to improve the quality and scope of international reporting. It promotes democracy, free speech, and independent media through supporting young journalists worldwide with fellowships that enable them to work temporarily in foreign editorial offices, gaining deeper understanding of the culture, economy, and politics of the host country
