  • Eligible Countries: UK/Home applicants, including students from Jersey, Guernsey, The Channel Islands, Ireland, and the Isle of Man.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to students enrolled in the BA (Hons) Product Design program at Northumbria University.
  • Admissible Criteria:
    To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Live in a neighborhood with a low progression rate to Higher Education (use the Postcode Checker).
  • Identify as being from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic (BAME) background.
  • Declare a physical and/or mental health condition, long-term illness, or learning difference on their UCAS form.

Additional eligibility terms:

  • Be enrolled in the Full-Time BA (Hons) Product Design course at Northumbria’s Newcastle Upon Tyne campus in September 2024.
  • Be a self-funded student.
  • Have applied for government student finance (e.g., Tuition Fee loan, Maintenance loan) and registered with Student Finance England, Wales, Northern Ireland, or Scotland.
  • Provide consent to share data with Northumbria University via the Government Finance Provider.
