The Frontex Research Grants Programme is open for proposals! With funding up to €60,000, this program supports research on advanced technologies for EU border management. Eligible applicants include academic and non-profit organizations from EU Member States and Schengen Associated Countries.
The grants are open to public, private, or public-private non-profit research organizations and academic institutions based in EU Member States or Schengen Associated Countries, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. Applicants can apply individually or in groups of up to four co-applicants.

Eligibility

- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The research grant will support projects in applied research focused on thematic areas such as:
- Border surveillance and situational awareness technologies
- Technologies for border checks
- Data analytics
- Advanced, environmentally sustainable operations, and more.

- Applicants must be public, private, or public-private non-profit research organizations or academic institutions.
- Applications are open to both individuals and groups (up to four co-applicants).
- Projects should have innovation potential, focus on applied research, and aim to develop proofs-of-concept or prototypes.
