The project, part of the NWO-funded BREATHLESS program, aims to design and develop advanced microfluidic devices integrated with NMR spectroscopy to study microbial interactions and metabolism under anoxic conditions.

Acceptable Course or Subjects: The PhD will be awarded in Microfluidics, NMR Spectroscopy, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Biophysics, Chemistry, or related fields.

Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

Hold an MSc degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Nanobiology, Biophysics, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Demonstrate knowledge of microfluidics and molecular spectroscopy techniques.

Have experience in microfluidics and/or NMR spectroscopy (advantageous but not mandatory).

Show strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative research skills.

Possess proficiency in English at C1 level (certificate may be required).
