DAAD: Study and Research Scholarships of Today for the Megacities of Tomorrow: Under its “Energy- and climate-efficient structures in urban growth centres” Initiative, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) will fund international collaborative projects in which German scientists and researchers will work together with partners in Vietnam, India, China, Iran, Peru, South Africa, Ethiopia and Morocco on drawing up and implementing solution-orientated, innovative strategies for selected cities.
The specialist programme on “Study and Research Scholarships of Today for the Megacities of Tomorrow” is also financed from the budget of the BMBF and offers highly-qualified students, doctoral candidates, postdocs and senior scientists from the above-mentioned countries the opportunity to study or do research in project-relevant subject areas. The studies and research should be carried out at German universities that are contributing to the collaborative projects. The collaborative projects, the project-relevant subject areas, the contributing German universities, and the respective contact partners can be found in the Annex.
