GJU Scholarships for B.A. “Translation: Arabic, English, German” Program in Jordan, 2018

The German-Jordanian University (GJU) is offering Scholarships for B.A. “Translation: Arabic, English, German” Program/ for the Academic Year 2018/2019. Students from Jordan and neighboring countries can apply for Surplace-Scholarships for 2018/2019 starting from May 2018.

The B.A. “Translation: Arabic, English, German” program was established in September 2007. The program is unique in the region and even worldwide with its equal focus on three languages at the same competence level. Students usually, but not exclusively, start the program with Arabic as their native language and a good command of English.

The German-Jordanian University (GJU) is a public university located in Mushaqar. It was founded in 2005 by a Royal Decree, in accordance with a memorandum of understanding reached between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Scholarship Description: 

  • Applications close: September 1, 2018
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue BA programme.
  • Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded to study B.A. “Translation: Arabic, English, German” program.
  • Scholarship Award: The scholarships comprise of
    A lump sum that covers the study fees or part of the study fees at the GJU.
    A monthly allowance that approximately covers the costs of living during the year in Germany.
    A travel allowance for two way trip to Germany and for once.
  • Nationality: Students from Jordan and neighboring countries can apply for Surplace-Scholarships for 2018/2019 starting from May 2018.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Scholarship Conditions

  • Certificate of general secondary education (Tawjihi) or equivalent with a minimum average of 70%.
  • Language skills: Arabic (Mother tongueor advanced level)
  • English (Mother tongueor advanced level).
  • ** Language Skills will be determined via written exam and interview

English Language Requirements: Students usually, but not exclusively, start the program with Arabic as their native language and a good command of English.
