The mission of the Council is to enable and sustain a vibrant and creative research community in Ireland. This scheme is intended to support suitably qualified applicants at an early stage of their postdoctoral career to associate with established research teams who have achieved international recognition for their work.

Eligibility::

  • Eligible Countries: International applicants are eligible to apply.
  • Entrance Requirements: An applicant must have either graduated or have been certified as having fulfilled all the requirements for the award of a doctoral degree, including the submission of the hardbound corrected thesis, within the five year period between 31 May 2015 and 31 May 2020.
  • English Language Requirements:  Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
