The Heinrich Böll Foundation’s Thessaloniki Office is pleased to announce the launch of the Green Foreign Policy Fellowship 2025–2026. This international fellowship supports emerging and experienced scholars, researchers, and practitioners working on progressive approaches to foreign and security policy.
The fellowship program is open to applicants from all countries who are emerging or experienced thinkers in the fields of international relations, political science, or foreign and security policy. Eligible candidates include recent graduates (with at least a bachelor’s degree), current or prospective PhD students, PhD holders, and professionals such as policy advisors or elected officials.

Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:

Be recent graduates (Bachelor’s in International Relations or Political Science), PhD students, PhD holders, or experienced practitioners

Demonstrate an active interest in developing and promoting green foreign and security policy

Possess strong written and verbal English skills

Be able to commit to producing original material during the first half of the fellowship and engage in presentation/networking activities in the second half

Submit a complete application (CV in Europass format, motivation letter, and a 2-page concept note)
