The prestigious Greg Benjamin WAAPA Music Excellence Scholarship is available for outstanding Piano students at Edith Cowan University. The award is open for the academic session 2024/2025.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Music – Piano (Jazz or Classical) at WAAPA, study full-time on campus, and maintain good academic standing. Eligibility extends to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and international students. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate financial hardship, and they should not be receiving any other scholarships exceeding $5000 per annum or have previously received the Greg Benjamin Entrance Scholarship.

- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, International Student Visa Holder, or International Non-Student Visa Holder
- Be enrolled in W76 – Bachelor of Music – Piano (Jazz or Classical) at WAAPA
- Have and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN
- Be studying full-time on campus (60 credit points or course equivalent)
- Be able to demonstrate financial hardship
- Not be in receipt of another scholarship over $5000 per annum
- Not be a previous recipient of the Greg Benjamin Entrance Scholarship.
How to Apply
Students currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Music course in Piano (Jazz or Classical) will automatically be considered for the scholarship. The Selection Committee will base their selection on the Principal Studies final performance assessment. The successful recipient will be contacted directly.
