- Practical experience in teaching.

Benefits
- The position is part of the EU-financed project “Bryomolecules,” focusing on systematic bioprospecting of European bryophyte species for biologically active compounds.
- The project work includes field collection of bryophytes, curation of axenic bryophyte cultures, experimental work with bioreactors, infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), DNA/RNA extractions, RNA library preparations, and bioinformatic processing of next-generation sequence data.
- The overall goals are to optimize the production of secondary substances for industrial purposes and to better understand the biological role of bryophyte secondary substances in natural habitats.
