To provide a funding source to international students undertaking their higher studies in UK, the University of York has organized the International Masters Achievement Scholarships for the academic year 2025-2026.

The funding program is open to international (including EU) students who hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a full-time postgraduate taught course at the University of York

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Open to international (including EU) students.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for any full-time postgraduate taught program offered by the University of York, except for ineligible courses such as Hull York Medical School, MSc Nursing (Mental Health/Adult), MA Public Policy (Mundus MAPP), LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1 & SQE2), online/distance learning, and research programs.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the University of York by 28 August 2026.
  • Be paying fees at the overseas rate (fee assessment must be completed by 28 August 2026).
  • Intend to study a full-time postgraduate taught course.
  • Not hold a 100% tuition fee scholarship or be fully sponsored.

Students enrolled in ineligible programs or part-time, distance, or partnership courses are not eligible.

How to Apply

No formal application is required. All eligible postgraduate taught students who hold an offer at York will automatically be considered for the scholarship. They must take admission in an postgraduate degree at the university. A panel of senior staff at the University will select the successful candidates.

Benefits

  • Funding Amount: Up to £10,000 towards tuition fees for the first year of study.
  • Additional Benefits: Can be combined with other University or external scholarships provided the total funding does not exceed 100% of tuition fees.
