Eligibility: -College senior or recent college graduate
-Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0
-Major in Biology, Zoology, Conservation Biology, Wildlife Biology, or other related science majors
-Experience using GPS and GIS technology
-Experience with Microsoft Office Products
-At least one nesting season (4 months) working with sea turtles on a nesting beach to identify crawls, locating clutches, and inventorying nests
-Minimum of six months experience with native Florida wildlife research
-Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from college within the past six months OR be currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
-Not have already completed two consecutive (spring/fall) College or Professional Internship Programs

Internship Description: The Conservation Biology Professional Internship is designed to give students experience in conducting research on native Florida wildlife and sharing their passion for conservation with guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. Students will be involved in daily field work with sea turtles on the beach near Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and gopher tortoises on Walt Disney World property and will be involved in key aspects of data collection and analysis for a variety of native Florida wildlife projects. This is a one-year internship. A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
