Interpreter Scholarship Program, 2025

RMIT University is pleased to announce the Interpreter Scholarship Program, aimed at improving the supply and quality of language services in Victoria. The award is open for the academic session 2025/2026.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must reside in Victoria, Australia, and be bilingual in one of the targeted languages. They must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals seeking asylum. Applicants are required to apply for an eligible RMIT interpreting course, meet the program’s entry requirements, and maintain enrollment and attendance throughout the course duration. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to language-specific enrollment thresholds.

    • Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and may close early if fully allocated.
    • Programs require a minimum number of participants per language; otherwise, an alternative Skill Set option may be offered.
