Eligibility

Eligible Countries: United Kingdom (Home fee status only)
Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to applicants enrolling in undergraduate programs within any of the following departments:

  • Aeronautics

  • Bioengineering

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering

  • Computing

  • Design Engineering

  • Earth Science and Engineering

  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering

  • Materials

  • Mechanical Engineering

Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:

  • Be ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and hold Home fee status.

  • Hold an offer for an undergraduate course in the Faculty of Engineering starting in Autumn 2026–27.

  • Have a disability as defined under Section 6 of the Equality Act 2010.

  • Have a household income of £60,000 or less verified by Student Finance England or equivalent funding authority.

  • Be a prospective (not continuing) student.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the Scholarship Application Form by 11:59 pm (UK time), Friday, 29 May 2026, and apply for means testing with Student Finance England to confirm household income. Applicants must also hold an offer of admission for an undergraduate program in the Faculty of Engineering.

Benefits

The scholarship offers a bursary of £16,250 per annum for up to four years to cover educational and living expenses, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
