Eligibility

  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in French Linguistics, specifically focusing on phonology and/or phonetics of French-based creole languages.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

    • Hold an MA degree in Linguistics, with a specialization in phonology and/or phonetics

    • Demonstrate excellent command of English and French

    • Have experience with speech analysis software (e.g. Praat)

    • Have experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g. R)

    • Show a strong scientific focus, creativity, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently

    • Possess strong writing skills.
