Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships for Worldwide Researchers at University of Leeds in UK, 2018

The School of Philosophy, Religion, and History of Science (PRHS) at the University of Leeds is inviting applications for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships. These fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality.

Scholarship Description: 

  • Application Deadline: June 11, 2018
  • Course Level: Fellowships are available to pursue research.
  • Study Subject: Fellowships are awarded on any of the topic offered by the university.
  • Scholarship Award: Fellowships may last between 12-24 months, and provide an allowance to cover your living, travel, and family costs.
  • Nationality: These fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality.
  • Number of Scholarships: Numbers not given
  • Scholarship can be taken in the UK

Eligibility for the Scholarship: 

  • Eligible Countries: These fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality.
  • Entrance Requirements: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:
    Fellowships may be on any topic, but applicants must have a PhD or at least four years of full-time research experience by the call deadline (12 September 2018). Time spent on PhD research counts towards research experience. To be eligible to apply to hold one of these fellowships at Leeds you also should not have lived or worked in UK for more than 12 months during the three years up to the closing date of the call.
    These fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality.
  • English Language Requirements: If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

How to Apply: Expressions of interest in having an IEF hosted at Leeds should be submitted by emailing the following to isobel.lister-at-leeds.ac.uk by 10am (UK time) on Monday 11 June 2018:

  1. A statement of eligibility
  2. A detailed CV
  3. A proposal of no more than 2 pages outlining the following:
  • Introduction, state-of-the-art/research context, specific research objectives, and an overview of the proposed research project.
  • Research methodology and approach: highlight the type of research / innovationactivities proposed.
  • Originality and innovative aspects of the research programme: explain the contribution that the action (i.e. the research and/or innovation activities) is expected to make to advancements within your field. Describe any novel concepts, approaches, or methods that will be implemented.
  • Interdisciplinary aspects (if relevant).
