The programme is open to PhD students to support travel to international conferences, including those held in Australia, as well as international travel for collaborative purposes.

- Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree coursework in Sciences and mathematics
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an enrolled PhD student.
- Be confirmed in your candidature.
- Undertake travel before your maximum course duration date; and,
- Undertake travel before submitting your thesis.
- Preference may be given to students who have not received any other travel awards.

- Language Requirement: Students meet the English requirements (for international applicants only) with overall IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0.
Benefits
The University of Melbourne will provide a single payment of up to $1,000 for international visits, up to $500 for domestic travel.
