Mensa New Zealand Incorporated is pleased to announce scholarships for first-year tertiary students. Up to three scholarships, valued at $500 each, will be awarded to New Zealand residents who plan to pursue higher education in any field.
To be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must be residents of New Zealand who are entering their first year of tertiary education. They must plan to study at an approved tertiary education institution, and an acceptance letter from the institution is required before the scholarship can be awarded.

- How do you believe your study will encourage research in the nature, characteristics, or uses of intelligence?
- One letter of reference or recommendation from a teacher, coach, or other adult who is not an immediate relative.
Benefits
- Each selected recipient will receive a $500 scholarship to assist with tertiary education expenses.
- Winners will be notified by 1 December 2024 and may be announced at their school’s prizegiving (if applicable).
- The award includes a certificate and an offer for a free Mensa Entry test for non-members.
- Payment will be made to the recipient in accordance with the tertiary institution’s scholarship guidelines once Mensa New Zealand receives confirmation of enrollment.
