Looking to gain global experience in 2025? The GO Global Scholarship from Newcastle University is here to help! This scholarship offers financial support for students from underrepresented groups to undertake international placements. Whether you’re going to an EU country, a non-EU country, or even doing a virtual placement, funding up to £2,000 is available.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be current students, including final-year students. They must meet at least one of the following criteria: receiving the NCL Opportunity Scholarship or having a household income under £40,000, being a care leaver or having caring responsibilities, being an estranged student, refugee, or asylum seeker, or being part of the Gypsy/Roma Travelling Community or Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups with a UK state-funded educational background.

Eligibility

How to Apply

To apply for the GO Global Scholarship, students must complete an online application via the Terra Dotta, global placement system. This includes submitting a personal statement and meeting the eligibility requirements. Applications will be assessed on a rolling basis, and students are encouraged to apply as early as possible to increase their chances of receiving funding.
